Perhaps you’ve read or heard the words: This is the day that the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it. These words are found in Psalm 118:24. After reading them, do you wonder in which day, particularly, the psalmist is referring? Was it yesterday, is it today or, will it be tomorrow? Which day are we to rejoice in? If God makes all days, then are we supposed to rejoice in all of the days we live? What if it’s a hard day? I contend that knowing God fashions each day differently (even the hard ones) shouldn’t change the believers’ response to the day. God choosing to give you another day lends itself to you choosing what you will do with it. Do you choose to manage your days or do you simply live them and just hope for the best? I believe since we must live each day, we may as well learn to be life managers; not just exist. Be sure to manage TODAY!
Prayer: Dear God, help me to be a good steward over the days of my life. Teach me how to manage my time so that you will get the glory out of every second, minute and hour. When I fall short, give me strength to reevalute where I went wrong and, please, give me another chance. Thank you, in Jesus' name, Amen!
